Exploring Collage

Picasso said: “Every child is an artist. The challenge is to remain an artist once we grow up”.

This course is not about getting it right, but rather about finding your own artistic language through experimenting and liberating your innate creativity through various techniques and exercises and by providing a supportive environment, 

Susie invites less experienced artists to explore their untapped creativity and for experienced artists to experiment with new ways of creating. The result is greater confidence in your ability to authentically express yourself. 

In this session you will be introduced to a range of artists and approaches to collage – from the political to the whimsical. A wide range of printed material will be available to experiment with, in addition to glue and heavy cardboard to use as a base. Participants are welcome to bring their own collage materials (including old paintings you would like to recycle)..

The workshop  is 4h long with a 30min break for lunch.
